Our Process
We play games properly, test what matters, and score them honestly — whether you’re a casual gamer or a meta gamer pushing systems to their limits.

1. We play the game properly
Every review starts with real playtime — not trailers or press notes. We play games solo and in co-op where applicable, using real-world setups and real players.

2. We test what actually matters
We focus on the things players care about:
-
Gameplay feel and accessibility
-
Systems depth, balance, and progression
-
Co-op and multiplayer stability
-
Performance, bugs, and polish
If something breaks, feels unfinished, or wastes your time, we call it out.

3. We assess the game honestly
Games are reviewed based on what they are today, not promises or roadmaps. Early Access titles are judged fairly, with clear separation between what works now and what still needs improvement.

4. How we score
Our scores are designed to reflect real player experience, not marketing hype.
Each game is evaluated across key areas:
-
Gameplay & Fun – how enjoyable and accessible the game is (casual perspective)
-
Systems & Depth – how well the mechanics hold up when pushed (metagamer perspective)
-
Co-op & Multiplayer – stability, progression syncing, and fun with real players
-
Performance & Polish – stability, bugs, and overall quality
-
Value – price versus content and longevity
These category scores inform the final rating — they are not blindly averaged. The overall score is a considered verdict that accounts for genre, price, and release status.

5. We score with context
A score means different things for different games. A 7/10 Early Access indie is not judged the same way as a full-priced AAA release. Context always matters, and we make that clear in every review.

6. We revisit when it counts
Games change. When major updates or fixes are released, we revisit the game and update our review, so the score reflects the current experience.

7. We stay independent
We don’t sell scores or guarantee coverage. Any review copies, early access, or sponsored content are clearly disclosed and never influence our verdict.
Want us to review a game?
If you’re a developer or publisher with a game you believe deserves an honest, no-hype review, we’d love to hear from you. We focus on real gameplay, co-op and multiplayer performance, and how a game actually holds up when players spend real time with it. We don’t sell scores or guarantee coverage, but every submission is considered on its own merits. If your game is ready to be played and judged fairly, get in touch and tell us what makes it stand out.
